Ok, I bet some of you guys/gals are going to think I'm crazy, but I thought I'd ask anyway :) My 745Ti needs new rear shocks as one of them is 'clunking' over bumps. I have checked the shock mount bolts and they're not loose. The shocks are Gabriels and are a little over 2 years old with ~47K km (~30K mi) on them. The car is in storage for the winter so I don't have to worry about it until the spring. It just occured to me the other day that it might be kinda neat to have a set of Nivos to keep the back of my car level when it's loaded up (not too often). I'm pretty sure I can get a good price on a set from my Volvo mechanic, so lets sort of forget about price for now. What would it take to put the Nivos in? Would it be as simple as removing the old shocks and putting the Nivos in? How would my handling be? I have the IPD sways, chassis braces, and 16" Hydras. The front shocks are KYBs which I find a little harsh, but are good in the turns. Would I be crazy to put Nivos in or would they work well? What kind of life expectancy could I expect from them? I like the idea of having the car pretty much level when it's loaded and I heard that Nivos preform well. Thanks in advace for any and all responses!
