Driver's door lock - stuck 700 1992

Forgot to include this in my last post.. Started the other day when it got below freezing here. The saftey that stops you from locking the driver's door when it is open seems to have failed. Even with the door closed, I can not lock it from the key or the inside. Anyone have any suggestions on this one? I figure I need to take the panel off and lube everything.
