how do remove the trims? 200

I would like to start preparing my good ol 86 sedan for a pain job.

How should I remove the trims such that I don't bend or destroy them. It's also likely that I need new plastic barbed screws to reattach them to the side.

Also any suggestions on what I should do to prepare it for a paint job?
