Just thinking about my future SUs 120-130

I was just thinking...(my mind brews when i hear things technical or things that spur technical thoughts in my head, :-)) By adding insulators, (how thick are they? or aren't there thick and thin versions out there?) you are moving the carbs further away from the engine, acting kind of like "longer intake runners" on a FI car. Well, the reason i'm pointing this out, is that the car will have lower maximum Hp, but more torque, well, more specifically, make power at a lower rpm(and less max. hp) compared with a setup that doesn't use insulators("shorter intake runners"= better hi rpm power). Well, i'm just thinking theoretically, but not saying that insulators aren't recommended, but yeah. Any words of advice on this idea/concept? or, is there anyone who wants to disagree/agree with me?

Just wanting to spur some more technical debate,
Kyle

P.s. If anyone thinks this isn't the right place to post this, let me know. Because, possibly, this might just be the area for troubleshooting as opposed to just opinions. But then again, :-), this could be something that i might want to contemplate when i install my SUs, so i guess its ok.
