I think they would have to be several feet long before you would get any
effect at all and probably 5 feet or more considering that we are talking
about one pulse every revolution. Sound travels at 1100 feet/second or
66000 feet per minute. So your sonic pulse at 6600 rpm would be about 10 feet.
You may not be old enough to remember the old Dodge long ram manifolds but
they put carbs over the front wheels in hotrods.
