Are Cross Members (Strut Tower to Firewall) Worth It? 1985

I installed a 25 mm sway bar on my 245 DL wagon and it makes a WORLD of difference in handling. The car turns as a unit, not like a roller coaster car (I live in San Francisco). I'm wonderin gif I would get an enhanced handling by adding strut tower-firewall cross members to the top of the chassi? I found them for $43.20 at IPD, but not in any junkyards.
