Idle surges on deceleration 200 1989

When decelerating the idle will surge slightly, exhaust smells like mixture is rich. Tried computer, Air mass meter, idle motor, new plug wires and plugs, cleaned throttle body and flame trap, no vacuum leaks. What's wrong with my car?
