power seat.dont work at all.1995/960 900 1995

got the car this way,,pass seat does nothing,,checked fuses at box by drivers door,all fine..
also seat heater doesnt work but think that may be a diff issue..
did notice that the plastic housing around the switches was broke and dangling,maybe that at one time activated a switch and burned something but what looking under the seat i could do revealed nothing..
are there any protection devices under the seat or someplace else that could have activated and shut off the power to the seat completely.?
i did what i could to search the faq's and archives and could find nothing relevant.
what is between the fuse at the box by drivers door and the seat that could fail
and cut power completely to the seat ?
also cannot find any wireing diags anyplace to help..
coments please..???..thanks..
