Seat Heaters 900

We bought a 1993 940 about 6 months ago, to go along with our 1999 V70. Car is in excellent shape, and I have done a number of things to it that I've read about on the board.

The seat warmers do not work. The light on the switch lights up. Does this mean that the power gets at least that far (the switch) or is it unrelated. Is there an inline fuse I should look for? What is the most common failure modes for this problem?
