The ROAR continues!!!! '91 240 200

Okay,

I redid the rear end, and later put in urethane torque rod bushings to tighten it up further. Love the ride, but I got a low roar on decelleration as soon as the urethane bushings were in.

This weekend I replaced the center bearing and ujoints, reassembled everything carefully and correctly (arrows aligned, marked the flanges, etc.), and the roar on decelleration decreased somewhat. The center bearing made noise when I turned it by hand on the shaft, and a whine that had been increasing has gone away.

NOW, a low roar starts at 40-45 mph and continues at all speeds above. Sounds like it is coming from the trans/lower engine area.

The transmission mount looks okay, but I have ordered a new one. The left engine mount was replaced by a mechanic 3 years ago and looks fine, the right (passenger side) engine mount is bulging. I ordered both and plan to replace them. Any other ideas? Again, no roar till the urethane torque rod bushings were put in.

Help! The noise keeps moving on me!!!!!
