I just wanted to mention that part of my devotion to my volvo stems from several years ago when I was rear ended hard while stopped in traffic on a dark winding highway.

I saw the headlights in the rear view mirror approaching way too fast. Uh oh! Screetch! Wham!

The young man and his wife and baby were safe, but their ford was totalled. I had no injuries whatsoever. I was able to drive home slowly in the volvo.

All the damage to it was fixable, to my surprise and it looks great. The body shop people told me that in another car, I would probably not have walked away from that accident.

Now I have a baby of my own, and I feel more secure knowing that I'm driving the right vehicle.
