Since I have so many problems with my 1986 740gle,
I was looking around and there is the same car
with the same year, but in much better condition
with 1 little dent, bad headliner and bad seats
at the local auction.
Problem: The ZF trany is blown.
So shall I buy it for 500$ and spend another
maybe 300$ for the tranny (a tranny cost 100$ at the junktyard)
and I might find a greasemonkey, who put it in for 200$.

Pro: I'm somehow familiar with that car and have some spareparts.
Contra: The tranny can be a PITA, if thats the only problem.

So - Is it worth?
Or shall I wait until I find a car, that runs?
