I have a 1990 240 GL sedan that I have had for less than a week and am still trying to figure everything out on. As best I can tell everything works, *except* the FM radio reception is extremely poor. There is a beat-up manual antenna that appears to be hooked up, but obviously something is amiss.

I know power antennas tend to have short lives, but I would like to at least try it for a bit. There does appear to be a pigtail/wiring harness, will this work to put in an antenna?

One last question, do any modifications need to be made to have it work with an aftermarket radio, i.e. will it still go up and down with on/off cycles.
