Thunderhill Ranch 200

Have any of you partcipated in the VCOA track day at Thunderhill Ranch? Was it worth the price of admission? What is looked at in tech inspection? Do you need a helmet approved for motorsports or will any Snell or DOT helmet work? The track is only about fifty miles from my house so it is easy to get there. I don't think my 242 will set any track records but it would be fun to see if my suspension investments work.
