I have an old spare radiator that I've been keeping in storage just in case my primary goes. It's been so long since I acquired it that I don't remember the specifics of the engine it came off of. Are rads pretty interchangeble between B20s and B18s, or are they not "backwards" or "forwards" compatible? My guess is that perhaps a B20 radiator would have a little more volume of fluid capicity so would work fine for a B18, but a B18's radiator would have a little less volume, and thus would not be a good match to a B20. Perhaps I'm totally off track here though..? Maybe there was no radiator volume change with the displacment and power change up to the B20?
Also, what's to be done to bring this spare one I have back to good condition? Can I take a tool to the tines and bend them straight again? Can I fill it with water to wash it out and see if it has any leak spots? If it does leak, is it fixable? Are all these reconditioning things best left to the experts perhaps?
