Should I be worried? 444-544

Coming off the highway after a couple of long high speed trips the oil pressure light flashes a couple times as the engine idles down in neutral. The dipstick shows all is well as far as level. I only have the stock idiot lights on the 544.
Would it be advised to go strap on a cheap NAPA oil pressure guage to watch the numbers?
Any other suggestions for where to look?
