Out with the yellowed plastic, and in its place, 7" rounds and a set of 3.5" driving lights ...

The headlight mounting brackets came from the early 2-series - $25 from the junkyard. The driving lights are new - $22.
The left headlight needs to be modified - can't use the spring adjuster. Remove the spring (will be reused) and remove the spring bucket (recycle).
On each side, one hole was drilled on the car to match the hole in the bracket, and one was drilled on the bracket to match the existing hole on the car. Zip-ties attach two additional mounting points. The back plate was not mounted perfectly flat, and relies on the lamp adjuster bolts to correctly align the lights (its purpose anyways). For the left, the one leg of the spring will attach on the outside of the lamp bucket and the other end hooks to the body.
The corner lights are mounted on 2" L-brackets. Hole drilled through the corner lamp and screwed to the bracket. The chassis has an existing hole between the fender and the body.
Unmounted (still in progress) are 8.5 x 14" clear acrylic sheets that will be blacked out except for 2 circles so you won't see everything else around but the lamps, and serve as headlamp protectors. They were easily trimmed from a 11x14 sheet at the local Ace Hardware.
Total spent so far was less than $60. E-codes lamps, wiring, and labor not included.
-- Kane ... who played with fitting at the junkyard on Sat., performed the dirtier work of seeing what was necessary in mounting on Sun.
