Okay guys, here it is. The SRS light is on, on my '91 740. I looked in the FAQ, and tried to get a code reading. Maybe I didn't do it right, but it says to jumper the test point and ground it for 2 full seconds and the SRS light will flash. Well, mine goes off and stays off until I remove the jumper. I went to the next step and grounded the terminal for 3 times at .25 seconds (guessed at this) within a 1.5 to 5 seconds. Lamp did not go out as I expected ... does this mean that there is a hard fault somewhere? Does this mean a trip to the dealer?$?$ As usual, all help and advice is appreciated (Even if it means telling me what a DA I am :-}.

Oh yeah, the vehicle has 225k miles on it, if that goes into the diagnostics formula .
