possible to bypass turbo??? 700

Hi, i was wondering if it would be able to safely bypasss the turbo on my 1986 760 turbo. Theres nothing wrong with the turbo, im just wanting to keep from using it and im trying to boost my mpg.

If you could help me or even give me your opinion it would help.
