FWD Volvos shure don't seem to hold their value

I was at a car lot today just looking around, and I saw a 99 s70 with 85000 miles on it for 9000. I walked a coulple cars down to a lexes es300 with 95000 mile that was a 96...so three years older and it was the same price. Both of these cars seemed to be in good condition and they were both front wheel drive, I don't understand why the newer and lower milage volvo was the same price as the more used car. Also it funny to see a 99 volvo selling for less then some 240's. hmm maybe the old bricks will be reaching classic status sometime soon. I'm Keeping mine. It's funny I have knowen quite a few 240 drivers who have bought 850s and were unhappy and sold them to buy another 240. It's amazing the progress that Volvo is or is not making...depending on how you look at it.
