hey all,

A few days ago i went on a trip to berkeley and in some parts of berkeley i would hear this wierd knocking noise coming from the trans(i would hear and feel it on the parking brake console..so i'm not sure). This noise was pretty loud in that everyone in the car could hear it. It was a rythmic sound in that it would come at a certain beat..which wouldn't really change with speed. IT would only occur in at certain times, and not not every time the car was driven. It would also die out at higher speeds. I'm not too worried about it but does anybody have any suggestions as to what it could be?

BTw..my trans mount is totally gone soft...so i'm assuming it was a combination of the street vibes+a bad mount.

and is there a lot of volvos up in berkely...man o man :)
