Can cooling sys stay empty 24-48 hrs. with no harm/rust? 700

Had crack in plastic radiator side tank, ordered plastic/aluminum replacement from FCPGroton Monday. It should be here (FL) by tomorrow, Friday at latest.

Can I drain/flush cooling sys. this afternoon and remove the radiator so that I can just drop in the new one tomorrow when it comes? Or will leaving the cooling system drained for a day or two cause corrosion to start, or some other problem to crop up?
