Can I cut the Chapman Alarm? Brocken Bracket leaves it to flop all over the place. 700 1989

The bracket that holds the Alrm broke..now the chapman horn rests on or around the battery. Can I just take some snips and cut it out or will the car not start? I bet it would do something bad. I am NEVR going to use it. Its obsolete anyhow.
