head gasket, 140-160

I was thinking about getting a .030 head gasket at the IPD garage sale. I have a b20F, this came with the .050 gasket stock right? Is there any way i can tell what is currently on it? even after taking the old one off? Also, should i even do this? I'm not yet a pro or totally confident in my doings, but i'd like to experiment and have fun. Also, i can use the excuse that my gasket leaks, i think. :) How much compression increase would a .030 give over a .050? Is this task generally easy? Or should i not do it unless i need to? And, is there anything else i'd need besides specifically the .030 gasket if i were to do this? TIA,

Also, i was wondering if anyone out there would be willing to share a spot at the IPD garage sale with me, or even better, just let me sell a set of wheels and a box of randome stuffs in their lot. Preferably i wouldn't want to pay for anything, but you know how it is, neither does anyone else. Maybe i'll get away with having the back of our minivan open?

And i went to PIR's opening late night drags tonight, it was more packed then i've ever seen it, so packed, my friends couldn't even race b/c they weren't allowing anymore cars to race. I didn't see any volvos racing though, just one or two in the parking lot. Oh well, there's always next time for the Volvos. I did see some other cool stuff though.

Thanks guys,
Kyle - at home for easter, looking at my car outside, wishing it had a working tranny and insurance...
