Where to install the IPD Auto Transmission filter? 200

I purchased the IPD magnetic in-line auto transmission filter. Has anyone installed one? Wonder where is the best location to cut the line. My 92 240 has both lines right against each other - seems like they would have to be bent apart to fit the filter into the return line. There is a short vertical section by the radiator but the radiator hood is too close. Any suggestions on where any of you guys installed one successfully?
