When I got my oil changed today (I haven't had time to do it myself) the guy recommended using a engine cleaning detergent to clean all the gunk out of the engine. I said no (as I said no to the billion other things they offered) but I was wondering, is using something like this a good idea? Will it help or hurt at all? By the way, the car has 97K miles, and I know nothing about what was done before 78K.
