Ecotek valve? 900 1992

I was reading my friends vw magazine the other day and I noticed an advertisement for somehtign called an ecotek valve? Ive seen it mentioned on here before but never really followed up on it. SO I went to the bsite and checked it out it sounds too good to be true on of those gas saving devices that works? has anyone had any experiece hooking one of these up to a 960??
