So there I sat, rearview mirror in my hand. Lucky it was night time, but..... 200 1986

now I need some information. I have a 1987 parts car which - I hope - has a good and removable rearview mirror.

Anyone have any tips on how to do the job? I am reading Haynes and will look at the FAQs and other books, too. But I know that the books don't cover everything.

Another Q. Wife's 1988 244GL has a rearview mirror that is very easy to move and adjust. The 1986 has been stiff to move for years. Surely there is some lubricant that I could apply to keep the next little ball joint from freezing up, as it did tonight.

Thanks in advance.

Bob
