Headlights 900 1992

I have a question about my headlights, just recently the low beams shut off ...completely random just turned off so lately ive been using my highbeams it doesnt seem to bother too many people but I need to have it fixed. I think it might be as simple as changing he relay? The headlight switch is not bad either i just had it replaced. Thanks
