too much heat 1800 1973

I have a 73' 1800es. The car drives great, but has always thrown alot of heat.
This is great in the winter but now it's enough. Does anyone know how to shut off the heat. I have all levers in the up or closed position and keep the fan off.The fresh air louvers are working. What can I try? Any suggestions would be welcome.
