I've been looking at my Haynes manual to help me decide how the clutch should be orientated when I install it. My guess is that the longer part of the hub of the clutch (about 3/16 in. longer) should face toward the engine. Does that sound right?
I notice the Haynes clutch has damper springs, but neither on mine do?!?
