so, my a/c heater controls are pretty much shot. deffroster is the only setting where you can really be sure what you going to get when you turn it on.

so my question is- how hard is it to convert this from climate control to a manually controled system? can I just swap out the dash component? is there another control board that also needs switched? or would I have to change the whole sytem?

has anybody done this change? how big a pain is it? how much $$.

btw- I have access to several parts cars at the local 'u-pull-it' so getting parts from different systems shouldn't be too difficult if I knew what to replace.
