No Start... will car start with in-tank fuel pump dead?? 200

I pulled into the spot I was headed to (not home unfortunately) and Bad Blue stumbled and died like it had run out of gas...

when I was ready to leave it wouldn't start...

no fuel pump noise (it was getting noisier lately so I knew it was in need of attention).

I switched the fuel pump relay with a known good one... still no start or noise...

I checked for voltage at the fuses and saw 12 V at fuse 6 (main pump) but 0 V at fuse 4 (In-tank pump).

so either the pump is dead or the voltage supply to it is faulty????

I'm just checking my diagnostics with you guys because the last time I messed with my main fuel pump ... I replaced it (PITA!) then found it was a loose ground created by yours truly! (even worse PITA!)

so before I figure out how to bring it home and tear into the in-tank pump I thought I'd check with the board to see if I may be missing something ...

thanks,

jack
