Fuel System 200 1988

Help.....

My 88 240 has fuel issues, I was driving when the car stalled out at stop sign, I was able to get it going, but it was running really rough, about two minutes after getting it going it stalled again, but this time, the fuel gague droped below empty. I drove it home, without any problems, the next morning, it wouldn't start.

Any ideas, is it the intank fuel pump?
