Compressor ran continuously, naturally. And fan came on (Low?) for brief random periods.

This is just after installing an OE condenser to replace last year's new aftermarket one, which leaked out over the winter.

Small town shop has serviced a lot of cars for a lot of years. Sees few Volvos, but goes by the book. Did fine last year.

System had been evacuated for 45 minutes, then charged with 2.07 lbs of 134a, per underhood decal. Tried drawing off .5 lb to see effect. Pressure dropped some, but not enough to cycle compressor.

BACKGROUND: Bought car 3/03, AC not working. Vac tested and charged 7/03. Worked good, but original condenser sprung a leak after a week.

Replace condenser, accumulater, and orifice tube (aftermarket, FCP). Vac tested and charged again, and AC worked OK the rest of the summer, but dead this spring.
