R134 conversion kit, anyone have experience with this? 200

Bought the kit last year and haven't installed it yet. Kit comes with many many rubber o rings that go various places. Have what I believe is an unreasonable fear of A/C work. Has anyone out there installed this conversion kit. Should I install it and immediately have the system evacuated/tested/refilled. Should I concurrently install a new expansion valve/dryer etc. Any advice appreciated.
