My engine has recently developed the following problem on cold starts: it'll start up and run for perhaps a second or two, and then die. A subsequent try and it starts normally. It also hesitates a bit until warmed up. Here's what I've checked/replaced:
1. AMM. Unplugged it and symptoms persist. Checked CO level, also within spec.
2. Coolant temp sensor. Measured resistance at ECU. Within spec.
3. Idle control valve. Measure resistance at terminals. Within spec. Valve not sticking.
4. Fuel relay. Replaced with known good relay - symptoms persist.
5. Fuel regulator. Unplugged vacuum line with engine running - idle picks up, as expected.
6. Checked base idle - 750rpm, normal.
7. Checked/cleaned 25A fuse and its battery connection.
Any other ideas out there?
Thanks,
-dave
