92 Aux. Electric Cooling Fan... 200 1992

I'm noticing some occasional, slight overheating (at least according to the guage) with my '92 240 wagon. I changed the thermostat, coolant looks fine, cleaned out the radiator, which helped but didn't solve. Then I discovered the aux. electric cooling fan but haven't noticed it come on. Anybody know a good way to test to see if the fan still works or if it's a wiring/sensor problem? Thanks.
