Help me spend my money! 700 1987

Hey all, I am buying a 87 745ti from a good friend. He bought a rebuilt B230ft engine off ebay for it. We are pulling the old motor & trans this weekend. The trans will be rebuilt.

So I'm asking, what can/should I do for preventive maintinence, and performance since the engine and trans are removed.

I know about the camshaft already. I was planning on buying the one from IPD. I am going to replace as many bushings and hoses as I can.

My desire is 250-300'reliable'hp. I havn't looked at the rebuilt motor but I'm assuming it's a "K" Motor. I am also going off turbo-bricks tuning recomendations. I would like some feed back on what works and what doesn't.
