More unidentified components 1980 245 DL 200

The next picture shows a valve, mounted into the enging block, on the driver's side of the engine compartment. It is hidden beneath the intake manifold, throttle body and AMM. When I removed these components for cleaning, the valve was exposed with no vacuum or air lines connected to it. The valve is black plastic and has two parallel nipples at right angles to it's main axis. I will have to try to upload an image tomorrow; I seem to have reached some kind of upload limit on the bulletin board.
