Thoughts on a 1996 960

Thinking about buying my daughter a 'newer' Volvo (anyone interested in a 1988 240GL?). One vehicle I found was a 1996 960 with 125,000. Radio does not work and sunroof seems to be in need of some TLC. A little of the interior trim is coming undone (by the windows) but all-in-all the thing runs well.

It was taken in on a trade and the asking price is $4,000. Does this sound good? Is there anything on this model I should be aware of? Should I go ahead and spend the money to getr a Carfax report?

Any feedback would be appreciated.
