Hello,

Today I put a new set of tires on my 82 242DL which was the last stage of it's major restoration. Just about a year ago the car that I have owned for 20 years was about a week away from the junk yard. With help from the local Vo-Tech, my friend the real mechanic and my own sweat equity she looks and runs great. To celebrate the occasion, me and my wife took a ride to get some ice cream at a local highway stand. When we were getting ready to leave, a man came up to us and asked what model year she was (the car not the wife). He said he had a 78 and was still sorry he ever let it go. He complimented me on the nice restoration job and my wife said you made my husbands day. She was wrong, he made my year. Keep the faith, this is what makes it all worth while.
