hi everyone,
i have just bought a 84 760 turbo, it ran beautiful when i bought it 420kms ago but suddenly developed a missfire between 2500 and 3500 rpm. it misses and backfires but idles fine and runs fine above 3500rpm. only mods i have done are blow off valve and air pod filter. when missfire occurs tacho drops and fluctuates around 1500 but engine revvs are still up, tacho reads correctly when revvs rise above 3500, and when i release the throttle. motor seems good doesnt use any oil or coolant has an AirResearch turbo (gil5 , m27)are these standard on the early b230et motor?
miss started driving home late at night in heavy rain and all electrical accessories on in the car(headlights, wipers, stereo, heater) i wasnt driving it hard, then i had to drop back to 3rd to keep it drivable at highway speeds.

any help would be greatly appreciated.
