i've got a wagon but the 2 found leaks are by the driver's side.
1) leak from hood release cable at the firewall. finally found that leak.
repair: i will try black polyurethane in a tube gun and seal it.
2) leak from underneat driver's seat metal support. for rust repair, dave shannon has documentation at his excellent web site which follows.
repair: por15 rust stuff & dave shannon's website for reference.
it seems that the metal seat support was welded in before the rubber/silicone sealant was applied at the factory. i saw no sealant applied but found rust spots while looking from the front and back side holes. that's where it is rusting. i will need to do what dave did to get to the rust spots.
the rusting is located where the body wall meets the chassis along the drivers side, but underneat the metal seat support.
refer to dave's site for reference.

on his quick index page, look for his floor pan rust repair, and click to it. on page 2, photo 2 of his floor pan rust repair, he cut holes, labeled 1 to get to the rust.
i need to do that, it's like a tiny sieve, enough to make my carpet stink.
the carpet and seats have to be removed. while your there, check for rust spots over a period of days, so you can creatively look for other places where there might be rust.
i also performed floor pan rust repair on exactly the same location as dave, but i only had a 1.5 x 1 in hole in the floor pan, luckily. my rust repair similar in kind, but not in degree.
thanks to dave again for his website. i hope i have his permission to reference his site.
i did rust repair on the roof rack holes and the right side corner of the wagon window, too. i replaced the window gasket from the metal trim gasket type with a 93 wagon gasket. the '93 wagon window gasket is more flexible, but i do need to apply the polyurethane sealant around the gasket.
regards,
byron
