I had the AC in my '83 240 turbo (automatic) upgraded by a shop recently, one that is quite reliable and has done other work for me. This entailed installing a rotary compressor so needed replacing the AC bracket with one from one from a later 240; i.e., one with the power steering reservoir mounted on top. I supplied a used bracket and the attached pump and reservoir to the shop. They did installation and conversion to R134. After running it for a few weeks, the AC works great. But, it looks like I am loosing PS fluid, as I have to refill the reservoir periodically when I notice that the steering becomes a bit rough. Any suggestions on what I should look for first. I thought I would take care of it myself, rather than taking it back in, if it is straightforward. If not, I will take it back in and have them fix it. This is not a job I have done before, so thought I would check with Brickboard before plunging in. Any suggestions much appreciated. Meanwhile, I will check Bentley and anything else I can get my hands on.
