Purchased a '91 740 turbo in March with 170K. I was so excited! the owner kept maintenance records which I now think are bogus. I have been able to drive the car only 24 days!!! Thank goodness for my son's '88 T-bird I've been able to get to work to pay for all these expensive parts! It drove great for 3 weeks then would crank but not start. Replaced fuel filter-No start then fuel pressure relay -No start- fuel pump-No start and finally the radio suppression relay it finally started and continued to start and run fine for about 3 days. The engine stop running while I was driving it so I had to drift off the road and have it towed again! Now it turns over and idles a few seconds but when I press on the accelerator it dies. Check the distributor cap because it was raining but it has been dry fro 2 days and still does the same thing. I think it likes to Ride home from work better than driving home. Suggestions? Shoot it and put it out of it's misery?
