fatique in steering box area 444-544

Hi
This is my first post in a very long time. I have been doing some diagnostic work on the front end of my 64 544 and I noticed some movement at the steering box when the steering wheel is rocked back and forth with full weight on it.
The movement is not from the steering box itself, but the metal area it is attached to. I suspect some metal fatique issues, as the old beast has many miles, but the area appears quite normal... no cracks or distortion. Hopefully someone out there has some prio experience and solutions for this (assumed) proble
