Need help! Car won't start. 200

I was driving along all happy as a clam on Saturday, when the Beast started stumbling and becoming gutless on acceleration. Pulled over to see what the deal was, and it died when I tried to let it idle. And there she sits now, road bound.

It turns over fine, but won't catch. I've been having to do all the work myself, so I haven't had a helper to check for good spark, but it doesn't make sense to me that the spark would just die. I've pulled the pre-pump, and everything there seems in order (it's new as of Oct.) As well, I've pulled the main pump, and everything there seems in order. (it's also new as of Oct.) They're both getting power. There's no blockage in the fuel system up to and including the fuel filter.

A couple wierd things I noticed: The main pump always used to hum a little when the key was turned to position 2. I always took this to be the main pump priming, but I've heard some people here say that not all volvos do this. At any rate, it's not making that noise any more, but I do still hear the click of the relays going. Another thing... when I took the throttle body housing off o check it, the throttle plate was stuck in an elevated position. I tapped it down to it's normal place, and it's stayed there since, but it's making me think about it now.

That's pretty much it. Hopefully I'll have a little help today so I can check for things like spark, and fuel through the injectors. Hope you fellow BC'ers are enjoying your weekend more than me. I'll keep you all updated. Even if the upate is just me saying "I noticed some train tracks not far away from where my dead car was... mostly down hill and, well, I figured maybe a good dose of train might fix it... It was quite a show"
