Hi everyone

Just changed my rear axle fluid to Mobil Synthetic. Noticed that there were a lot of fine metal shavings on the magnet on the drain bolt. Also noted clumps of metal shavings in the old fluid.

Questions are with those findings in mind is should I stick to the recommended drain interval of 40000 km or should I change sooner? And is it normal to have those metal shavings there?
