During a period of sustained idling for the A/C charging my 96 960 started to miss occasionally on one cylinder, then another until it was running on 3-4. When I touched the throttle it immediately died. I restarted and got the occasional miss then double & triple again. Again it died when I touched the throttle. Restarted after whacking the TPS and got the same miss condition but was able to advance throttle to high rpm w/o killing it. Still had the miss though. Retarded throttle to idle & engine died & would not restart. Cranked like crazy no fire. Swapped fuel injection relay & engine started right up. Shut it down tried a restart, no love, just cranking. Replaced TPS and finally got a start after holding throttle wide open while cranking. Would not run below 2K RPM. Still had the miss as well. The crank position sensor has been changed, as well as the PNP switch. Any ideas?
